Their videos usually have a plot involving the family members getting together for meals, birthday celebrations, vacations, etc. The stories are told through a mix of traditional Hindi music, Bollywood humor and over-the-top acting. With their wide audience base that spans generations, The Dixit Family has become famous for their audience participation events where they respond to questions sent in by subscribers. They also have an additional YouTube channel called "Yaariyan" ("Friends") on which they post Vlog style videos on an almost daily basis. The Dixit Family was born out of Vinod's original inspiration for FunnyFlux. Vinod is also known as the "Youtube star of India" and his channel has been awarded as such on multiple occasions. He previously worked as a bank assistant manager at Bank of Maharashtra and had seen first hand the negative impacts that social media was having on society. He wanted to create a channel that would help people look beyond appearances and see the true beauty within. This manifested itself after a trip to a small village in Gujarat where he saw a family with no running water or electricity yet singing songs and dancing in perfect unison. People they met along the way told them their only joy came from singing together, sharing stories from their childhood, being happy for one another's successes... This is what they called true happiness. Vinod founded FunnyFlux as a way to share this message of happiness and to teach other people the joy of life. He used his camera and microphone, and his friends and family began joining him.
